Laminated Glass
Laminated glass combines two or more sheets of glass permanently bonded together using a plastic or resin layer. Laminated glass offers superior impact resistance and security, as excellent noise control benefits.

Uses for Laminated Glass
  • Structural and architectural glass walls, especially when high impact resistance and security is required
  • Glass roofs
  • Glass canopies
  • ‘Serviceable’ roofs/glass walkways – meets safety requirements for people to walk on
  • Doors/security doors
  • Frameless entries/windows
  • Excellent when noise reduction is a necessity
Why Laminated Glass?
  • Security
Laminated glass will remain intact when subject to high impact due to the sheets of glass being bonded together with a resin layer. This has advantages in many situations. Do you have valuable items you would like to protect in case of an attempted burglary? Would you like your structure to remain concealed from the elements in case of accidental breakage? Laminated glass will ensure the security of your structure.

  • Safety
In the very unlikely event that laminated glass is subject to high impact resulting in a breakage, the glass will be held in place. This greatly reduces the chance of serious personal injury and can also prevent overhead glass/roofs from falling in case of high impact resulting in breakage.

  • Acoustic Laminate
Laminated glass can also greatly reduce noise from entering or exiting your structure. The resin laminate has excellent acoustic properties due to its ability to dampen noise transmission.
