The UGS ClearSpan Structural Glazing System is a unique patented system that is designed to provide a simple and effective universal mounting and sealing method for various glazing materials, such as glass, polycarbonate (solid sheet or structured/twinwall/tri-wall), or acrylic. This system will accommodate glazing sheets ranging in thickness from 4mm up to 16mm.

The ClearSpan Box has a built in aluminium rafter for greater structural support and a modern, clean look.  This is complimented by a complete range of posts, beams and brackets to support the system and deliver a seamless finish.
The ClearSpan Bar can be mounted directly onto timber, aluminium or steel supporting members such as rafters or purlins. Easy to install, affordable and with the same modern look, the ClearSpan Bar is well suited to new builds, or retrofitting an existing structure.

The ClearSpan glazing box and bar assemblies are available in 2 standard lengths, 4050mm and 6050mm, with either powdercoat or natural aluminium finish.

Each glazing assembly is supplied with the following components:  glazing box or bar base extrusion, top cap extrusion, top cap infill extrusion, stainless steel top cap compression screws, rubber seals, and end plates (with screws, 2 per bar assembly).  Edge spacers sold seperately.

These systems are designed to hold Glass, Acrylic and Polycarbonate.  We have our own 6mm and 8mm Polycarbonate in stock, other products can be ordered from other suppliers.  6mm panels are designed for 600mm centres and 8mm is designed for 750mm centres.  Colours available in our Polycarbonate are Clear, Grey and Opal in 4050mm and 6050mm lengths to match the Glazing systems.  Please refer to the span charts on the technical page to see how far you can span in your wind zone.

Each system will require two edge spacers to close off the sides and to keep it water-tight.  The edge spacers are available in different sizes to match the glazing panel thickness, and can be powder-coated to suit.
