About Us

Universal Glazing Systems was created by Auckland brothers John and Peter Herrick, who also own the Greenhouse Manufacturing company Winter Gardenz.  They noticed a lack of quality products in the flat panel Pergola market and were  getting requests for these.  Using their Engineering skills, they created the Clearspan Glazing systems to compete in this increasingly popular market using New Zealand made high quality Aluminium.

With the engineering and design foundations laid, Mike Dilloway came on board as the Business Development Manager to assist with the rapid growth and demand for these products.  With his knowledge of the roofing market, sales background and passion for helping people, UGS has quickly grown to be one of the major suppliers of outdoor pergolas and canopies in New Zealand.  

The UGS factory is based in Kumeu, West Auckland.  Mike is based in the Waikato with his young family, fluffy cat and adorable Miniature Schnauzer puppy!  Mike and his team cover the country assisting homeowners, builders and architects to create beautiful outdoor canopies for residential and commercial spaces.
