Frequently Asked Questions
What are the advantages of using the Econoglaze system?
The Econoglaze system is ideal for existing or intended timber structures, shorter spans and a more economical option to the Clearspan Bar system. It is 50mm wide so better suited for aluminium or steel rafters. As it is a simple 2 piece, click together system, it is cheaper than the Clearspan Bar. However, you will see the top screw through the entire system at the top. Please note this screw is not supplied.
How far can I span the Econoglaze system?
This depends on your wind zone. With purlin support, you can span up to 1.3m between purlins. If you do not want purlins, the span lengths depend on wind zone and timber rafter size. Please see guide below. For additional span information on Aluminium or steel rafters, please contact us.
