Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds
Track-guided, spring-operated outdoor screens that close in a pergola or patio against wind, rain and low sun. Made to measure for the opening, and a natural pairing with a ClearSpan roof.
Weather protection that disappears when you don’t need it
The blind runs inside slotted side tracks, so there are no zips, ropes or straps. It glides smoothly by hand, stops and holds at any height, and locks down when the space needs to be fully closed. The result is a room you can use through more of the year without changing the look of the structure.
- Spring-balanced operation — one hand, no crank
- Holds at any position and locks in the down position
- Slimline tracks to keep openings as wide as possible
- Removable posts for wide spans and clear access
- Reveal and face-fix channel options for tidy junctions
- Powder coated to any colour in the Dulux Duralloy range
Your options
Every blind is made to the opening. Choose the screen material, how it is operated, and how it finishes against your structure.
-
Screen material
Clear PVC
A crystal-clear screen that shuts out wind and rain without shutting out the view. The most popular choice where the outlook is the reason the space exists.

- Premium PVC in clear or lightly tinted grades — Mehler FR-580 and Lodge Deluxe options
- Locked down, the space stays dry and usable through winter
- Can be combined with a mesh or canvas panel in the same opening
- Wipe clean with mild detergent and a soft cloth; no solvents
-
Screen material
Sunscreen Mesh
Cuts heat, glare and UV while keeping airflow and an outward view. The right answer for a west-facing deck or any space that gets hot under glass.

- Visiontex® View 85, Plus 94, Ultra 99 and Extreme meshes for different openness levels
- Reduces heat build-up under a glazed roof while air still moves
- Daytime privacy from outside, clear view from inside
- Slows driving rain but is not a watertight screen
-
Screen material
Acrylic Canvas
A solid fabric screen for full privacy, deep shade and a softer look that reads as part of the building rather than a window.

- Wide colour range to match joinery, roof or fabric awnings
- Highest privacy and shade of the three materials
- Can carry a clear vision panel where an outlook is wanted
- Also available in DriZ waterproof and E32 heavy duty shade fabrics
-
Operation
Manual or Motorised
The patented spring-balanced design means one hand moves the blind, it stops wherever you let go, and it locks in the down position. Motorisation is available where reach or size makes that easier.

- Manual: spring balanced, no crank, no ropes or zips, stops at any height
- Motorised: SIMU tube motor with remote or wall switch
- SolarSmart™ Plus and PowerSmart™ battery automation options
- Pull stick available for high-set blinds
-
Finish
Colour & Fixing
Tracks, pelmets and posts are powder coated to suit the structure, and the fixing method is chosen to suit the opening so junctions stay tidy.

- Any colour from the Dulux Duralloy range, with its 10 year durability warranty
- Slimline tracks to keep the opening as wide as possible
- Reveal fix or face fix channels for a robust, weathertight junction
- Removable posts for wide spans and clear access when the blinds are up
-
Add-on
Insect Control Pelmet
The only outdoor blind system with an insect control pelmet option — it seals the head of the blind so the space stays usable on still summer evenings.

- Seals the top of the blind where insects normally get in
- Integrates with the standard pelmet line, so nothing looks added on
- Best specified at time of order rather than retrofitted
- Pairs well with mesh screens for evening use
Ziptrak FAQs
Can blinds be fitted to an existing pergola?
Yes. The side tracks fix to posts or a reveal, so blinds can be retrofitted to most existing structures. We measure the opening before manufacture.
How do they handle wind?
The screen is held in the side tracks along its full height, which is what allows the system to stay closed in conditions that would move a rope or zip blind.
Are they waterproof?
Clear PVC blinds shed rain and, locked down, will keep a space dry in most conditions. Mesh screens reduce driving rain but are not watertight.
How are they cleaned?
Rinse with clean water and wash with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive pads, as with our glazing panels.
Adding blinds to a ClearSpan roof?
Tell us the opening sizes and we will quote the blinds alongside the glazing so the tracks, posts and colours line up.
